As a Director of Commercial Banking, Matt believes that trust is the foundation of building long standing relationships and accomplishes this by gaining a comprehensive understanding of each company while going above and beyond customer expectations. Matt works with companies of all sizes to help develop customized solutions that support business growth or obtain specific organizational objectives.    

Credentials

Matt began his career at FNBO as a Global Banking FX trader.  He has also spent time on the FNBO Credit Administration team, where he supported the Specialty Banking and Commercial Banking teams with credit analysis and deal structuring.  In his most recent role, Matt worked with companies to help navigate and mitigate the risks associated with doing business internationally, where he was able to utilize his in-depth international payment knowledge. Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance and Banking from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and an MBA from Creighton University. Matt has also achieved his designated lender certification with the EXIM Bank of the United States.

Passions

In his free time, Matt enjoys a varied set of interests, including golf and woodworking. He’s a recognized member of the local music scene and plays regularly in his Irish Pub band, The Shenanigans.

Matt is a dedicated community supporter. He is a graduate of The Nebraska Chamber Foundation’s, Leadership Nebraska Class XI, and is the Co-Chair of the Leadership Nebraska Alumni Advisory Council.  When not working or supporting his community, you can find Matt coaching one or all of his three children in basketball, soccer, football or golf.
