Before joining First National Bank, he worked in trust administration for several large banks in Iowa. Steve also spent two years in the private practice of law.
Steve’s education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa, and Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska School of Law. He is a graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking and a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association.
Passions
It’s safe to say that Steve can navigate a gourmet meal and the accompanying wine pairings. He and his wife, Mary Beth – a trained chef, are a deadly (or delightful) combination in their kitchen. Weekly, they enjoy artisan pizza as a family, with their grown daughter and her husband often coming home to partake. Their dogs, Fletcher and Penny, also enjoy these family gatherings with gourmet treats of their own.
Steve is actively involved in a number of organizations including Partnership 4 Kids, and the vinNebraska Foundation. In his free time, Steve loves listening to and collecting music, and is a big fan of Sam Cooke. On his bucket list: hunting Red Stag in Scotland.
