FNBO Contributes More than $12,000 to Minnie’s Food Pantry in Plano
Bank Employees Donated to Employee Impact Fund with company match.

OMAHA, Neb. April 1, 2021—First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) and its employees have contributed $12,420 from its Employee Impact Fund to Minnie’s Food Pantry in Plano to support the nonprofit organization’s efforts to address food insecurity issues across the area following February’s devastating winter storm Uri.

“The contribution from the FNBO Employee Impact fund will help us provide needed fresh foods and healthy meals to families who are still recovering from the impact of the winter storm,” said Cheryl Jackson, founder, Minnie’s Food Pantry. “Minnie’s is committed to giving value to our community by providing easy access to quality foods and forming and maintaining connections between the food industry and those in need in order to eliminate hunger right here in North Texas. We are 37,200 meals closer to this goal thanks to the grant awarded through the FNBO Employee Impact Fund.”

FNBO’s Employee Impact Fund was created last year to more effectively coordinate company and employee giving efforts to help communities the bank serves across its seven-state footprint recover from disasters or other emergencies.  In 2020, the Employee Impact Fund provided grants to organizations in Colorado to support rebuilding and recovery efforts following last year’s wildfires in that state, and dedicated its Standing Strong Together Employee Impact Awards to organizations in Colorado, Nebraska and South Dakota providing help to individuals impacted by COVID-19.
