Phillip is a Director of Commercial Banking. He focuses on managing commercial and industrial loans, as well as owner-occupied real estate loans for clients. He enjoys meeting new customers and seeing positive results as he applies banking solutions to meet their changing needs.
Phillip’s 35 years of experience in banking extends across both small and large banks. He joined First National Bank in 2013 in commercial banking and often mentors junior lenders. He has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Kansas and is a graduate of the National Commercial Lending School and Advanced School of Banking. Phillip is an active member of three Kansas City metro Industrial Associations that address neighborhood needs by encouraging and pursuing economic development opportunities: Northeast Industrial Association, Blue Valley Industrial Association, and Fairfax Industrial Association.
Outside of work, Phillip pursues a variety of activities. First and foremost, he enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, maybe scouting out a new food venue. Although an unending schedule of home-improvement projects enjoyably takes up much of his time, he still manages to travel around the southern and western United States. Phillip hopes to one day travel abroad to trace his family roots.
Civic affiliations are also important to Philip, and he has been an active participant of a number of organizations, including Harvesters Community Food Bank, American Cancer Society, Boy Scouts and Rotary, among others.
The customer is first. I strive to put myself in my customers' shoes to provide a helpful, easy and personal experience in all encounters.
