Colorado Leadership

The Colorado leadership team has spent decades in the pursuit of world-class banking for our customers and the overall betterment of the communities we serve.

Mark Driscoll | Market President

Mark joined First National Bank in January, 1980, and has been with the bank in various roles for more than 35 years. Prior to joining the bank, he was an assistant football coach at Colorado State University (CSU). Mark left the bank for three years to serve CSU as its Director of Athletics from 2003-2006. He remains connected to CSU Athletics, regularly serving as the color analyst on radio broadcasts of Colorado State football games. Mark is closely involved in the Colorado community through board and committee service and advocacy efforts for many organizations as well as for his church.

Marga Spangler | Managing Director, Private Client Services

Marga joined First National Bank in 2005 and has more than 35 years of experience in the banking industry, including private banking, corporate treasury services, retail banking and management. Prior to moving to Fort Collins in 2016, Marga led the Wealth Management division in Overland Park, Kansas and actively served on community boards. She attended the University of Nebraska and earned her Certified Wealth Strategist® designation from Cannon Financial Institute. An avid golfer, Marga finds golfing with family and friends relaxing, challenging and rewarding.

Karen Sorensen | Director, Retail Branch Banking

Karen joined First National Bank in 1985. Prior to joining the bank, Karen worked for seven years in operations and new accounts for First National Bank of Greeley. With 40 years managerial experience, the last 20 in Retail Banking, Karen is passionate about helping develop employees to their highest potential. Karen enjoys spending time with her family, camping and spoiling her grandchildren.

Longmont Oktoberfest

Join us at Longmont Oktoberfest on September 20-21, Longmont's favorite fall gathering featuring national touring acts, 10+ breweries, local food, and games for all ages.


On September 21st, come celebrate the last outdoor music festival of the year at Fortoberfest in Old Town Square in downtown Fort Collins! First National Bank is the “Official Bank of Downtown Fort Collins.”

Doggie Dash

First National Bank is proud to sponsor the Humane Society of Boulder Valley’s fall fundraiser, the Doggie Dash on September 22nd, where humans and canines come together for a fun run or walk - held at the Boulder Reservoir.

OktoBREWfest 2019

Enjoy a weekend of music on the First National Bank stage at Greeley's OktoBREWfest 2019 on September 27-28 at historic Lincoln Park in Downtown Greeley.

Longmont Humane Society - Paws in the Park

Bring your friends, family and best canine buddy to Longmont Humane Society's annual pet-friendly walk and festival on October 5 in support of animals in need in our community.

Museum of Boulder FREE DAY

The Museum of Boulder is pleased to announce FREE DAY at the museum on Sunday, October 6th from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., sponsored by First National Bank. Celebrating University of Colorado’s “Family Weekend”, come enjoy all the museum has to offer for adults and children including the Boulder Experience Gallery, showcasing the history of Boulder, and special CU-themed activities.
